Proper introduction

Hello all...I recently posted in the general newbie section on here and I thought I would squeeze into the leopard gecko section and introduce my two geckos. One is male and one is female, kept in two separate 20 gallon tanks with reptile carpet so they won't eat the sand. I took in the first gecko from someone that was feeding it lettuce and what appeared to be colored balls like dried iguana food sold in canisters.
The first one is still much skinnier than I want but he has gained some weight around his arms and his head where it was sunken in. I bought my second one right after I obtained the first, for some reason I have always had two of every animal I've owned!
The second one appears to be female and she is very feisty, I assume she was never held at all. She runs like CRAZY. If anyone has any tips on taming them let me know! She also eats like crazy, consuming much much more than the other. I have named her Squishy and his name is Cheetoh.

And now..

It has only been two weeks and I think they are doing pretty good on their weight gaining, she is turning into a chubby chick!

welcoem to the forums! nice job on the pet recovery. I currently got a gecko that was very skinny when i found them at *****...working on that critter to fatten em up .

Wow! Your Broken Reverse Stripe looks awesome already! A few more weeks, and you won't be able to tell the difference between him and a fat gecko any more Awesome job. Your other gecko looks great, too!

I also have two animals of everything: two dogs, two cats, two angel fish -- only with geckos it didn't stay that way!! So be careful, or it happens to you, too :main_laugh:
