Question about Baby Gecko's Poop....

I noticed in the baby gecko's cage (not sure its age, as we got it at a pet store, but it is quite small) a good size piece of poop (I'd assume its poop, its formed like it) that is just mealworms stuck together and some pieces that I'd say just look like the mealworm outsides/skin?? Its probably an in in length and maybe 1/4 in in diameter at the thickest part. (middle) There was also a quite small spot of poop that had some white and some back, soft, but not runny. I'm new to geckos so I wanted to check if either of these should create concern??

um well it can be white. I think mine have white poop sometimes. Also there shouldnt be identifiable pieces of food. If you can see a worm in the poop there could be a problem

Some bit of white is normal.
Our baby has bits of undigested food in it sometimes. I would think as long as MOST of it seems to be digested, you're okay. :main_yes:

THere's a good chance that in addition to pooping (the black with the white) it also regurgitated some worms, which sometimes happens if a baby has "eyes bigger than its stomach" and overeats. Keep an eye on it; it's probably just a 1-time occurrance.

Okay thanx. I was fearful some of the mealworms were too big for it, so we are being very careful to only give it the smaller mealworms. (None are that big, but just in case) We are also going to quit w/ roaches and crickets (actually I'm kind of hoping none of the gecko's will "need" too many crickets because honestly, I can never keep them alive and they are a pain, so I'd prefer to stick w/ roaches and worms.) until it gets a bit bigger too because they are bigger than the space between its eyes (that the "measurement spot" right??). I'm glad it was probably just regurgitated some worms and it wasn't poop, because I thought it looked bigger than the poor gecko. We'll keep an eye on it, but hopefully it won't happen again. You are suppose to just feed as much as it'll eat right, not limit its food at all??

Feed it as much as it can eat and don't worry too much about the size of the mealworm. I have 5-gram two week old hatchlings eating large mealworms with no problem.
