question about numbers on GF

Hello,

Why are the numbers of the animals that people have so strange? Some write, "I have 0.3.3. geckos, 1.2 snakes, 0.0.1 scorpions, 0.1 boyfriends..." and the like. I don't look through here, and didn't post how many fish I have, fearing I'd end up with 48.6.7.5.2.1!

This may be one of the most asked questions on this forum( just an observation). 1.3.5 would mean 1 male , 3 female ,and 5 unsexed always male first then mid number is the number of females and the last number represents # of unsexed animals.

aaaahhh...

I've got 1.1.0 dogs, 1.0.0 Siamese cats, 2.6.0 leopard geckos, about 10.40.12 fish, and 0.0.1,000 crickets until next feeding time.
