i think if anything you should setup both the cages to look very similar so that the gecko won't have any anxiety.. if anything they will definitely get used to it after you've done it a few times, and who knows, maybe he won't care at all and he will be perfectly fine. its a good idea because you know then that he is being taken care of and fed properly every day instead of having to bother your dad about it (i know how thrilled they can get with any type of animal haha) good luck!

my parents are the same way, but only a 5 minute walk lol
i keep them at my dads and come to his house everyday when im with mom,
and when im with dad i go to her house everyday to take care of my mountain horned dragon.
but my living arrangement is wayyy diff from yours lol
jan-july with dad, aug-dec with mom, tuesday and thursday nights till 830 with whichever parent im not living with, and every other weekend with the parent im not living with till 830 sunday night.

What the hell.. That sounds soo complicated! Kind of makes me happy that my dad is a jerk and only likes to see me once every two weeks and even then he comes over here to my mothers house. :main_laugh:

how is safty an issue in an area with that small a school? the countr can be more dangerous with the way people drive out here.
