Questions about Visionariums

I have decided to buy visionariums. I have a few questions that hopefully someone who has them can answer.

1. Do the dividers come with the visionariums and then you buy extra or are they not included and you just have to buy them?

2. What UTH / repticarpet and other accessories work best with these?

I am going to call around at exotic pet shops today and ask if they have them. I am not to hopeful about that. I will probably end up buying them online and having to pay shipping.

Also, any other tips about visionariums are welcome. Thanks! :main_thumbsup:

I have one visionarium. The dividers are about $7.50 or so and need to be bought separately. I got 2 dividers a few years ago and just needed to use it this summer. It did not fit really well and I've made it work, but I wasn't that happy with it.

The underside of the visionarium has some plastic fins sticking out so it's hard to put things underneath it. At the moment my visionarium is divided in half for 2 hatchlings and has a mini or 10-20 gallong UTH on each side. That works pretty well. I have also used heat cable. It's kind of a pain to use any substrate with the visionarium since the corners are curved. I have finally settled on no substrate, just letting them have the plastic bottom.

Another thing that isn't obvious about the visionarium is that although it is about the size of a 20 long, it isn't as tall since there is a recessed area for lighting. If you want to put in a second level, it won't really work.

All in all, I recommend the glasscages.com sliding front cage over the visionarium and most of all I recommend the glasscages.com front opening stackable cages.

Well if the corners are curved couldnt you just cut the repticarpet in a curved fashioned to fit it? What kind of sustrate do you use Nancy?

Thanks for the replies. I ordered 4 of them with 3 dividers. I got them a little cheaper from a small buiness website not directly from LLLreptiles or the vision site.

I have one and I just do not like it.
It seemed like a good idea at the time.

I ended up not using it. I went and got a regular 20g long terrarium
from my friends at PetStupid instead.
