Questions on quarantine

I will soon be bringing a few new geckos into my collection. All will be housed individually. Is it then necessary to quarantine them in a seperate room since they will have no contact with my current geckos? Also, what is the recommended time to keep a new arrival in quarantine? I have heard any where from 30 days to 3-4 months! Thanks in advance!

Some of this depends on the preference of the keeper. I don't quarantine my geckos in a separate room (I don't have the space) but I make sure to wash my hands before and after I handle or feed the new gecko. I am content to quarantine for about 30 days but would quarantine longer if I had any doubts about the gecko, like if it was an ill rescue.
