Rack Tub setups

Good point ... Being new to breeding I did not even think about the stress put on the female moving her out when she was ovulating ... I guess I was more concerned that with 3-4 females together the others would stress her out over using the hides and lay box ... But if only one female is ovulating at a time I guess that would not be an issue ... Sounds like most folks keep groups of females together and just put the male in and take him out ... Should I have a few small hides for the females or is the large one ok with one moist/lay hide?

I just can not make my mind up ... What would be better for both breeding and the geckos ... To have a single 40qt on one sheld with 1-4 females living together or have 3 seperate 15qt tubs on the shelf, giving each female her own hide, egg lay box and food.

I guess if you have the females all together the benefit is you just add the male to the one tub and then he also has access to more then one female at a time ... However I keep wondering if it is better for the females to have their own space (15qt).

Man I wish could get my head around this so I can move forward with my setup.

Just want to get it right. :D

A 15 qt is unnecessary for a baby. I use 6 qts for Individual babies up to 20 grams, then they live out their lives in a 15qt. Personally I prefer to have ALL My geckos individually since I keep better records. And I do not have to worry about competition for food, etc.

i prefer to house all my geckos by themselves they seem to be a loot more comfortable that way and you know exactly whos eating and how much etc. but i deff wouldnt house 5 females together in my opinion maybe 2 max
