Radar?

I got my first Bell from TUG today. He is supposed to be a MS Bell het Eclipse/RADAR

He looks like a really low % snake eye RADAR. Is this some weird MS Bell thing or is he really a MS RADAR?

Wouldn't he be a RADAR because of that small eclipse shade?

Bell + Eclipse = RADAR ...I dunno. lol

There is a possibility that it could be a radar but I would say not. The eye says radar and there are some hints of eclipse feet. He really doesn't have much of a white nose though and the pattern doesn't scream eclipse either. Do you have a Radar or Eclipse het bell female on hand to breed it to?

Yeah he is going to be bred to a MS Eclipse het Bell with solid black eyes. I guess we shall see what hatches out

Hey Michelle! The possibility of him being a Radar is slim, but you never know. The eyes or pattern don't portray the eclipse gene enough for us to have sold him as a Radar. The best thing to do is prove him out and let everyone know!

Ive got a couple male bells het radar that have eyes that look like that and they are just bells, no radar. Nice looking bell. Didnt realize you were getting into bells michelle. They are by far my favorite albino. Good luck with them!

Yeah Ive been seeing some really nice bell babies lately, albinos I actually like so I figured I would take the plunge. I like the purple and white babies... lol
I also seriously want a super radar so hoping I can hatch one and make that a reality this year or next.

I figured the eye was a bell thing, I thought I read that somewhere. I wasnt sure since the eyes do look a little on the light side, which eclipse tends to do to eyes, but I dont have any other bells to compare him to. I also wasnt sure since the eyes could be lighter because of incubation temp.
I wish I had more information on the gecko like a hatchling pic and the parents morphs and the parents pics but I highly doubt that TUG would have that kind of info. I guess I will ask and see what happens.
Its not that I think that the people at TUG dont know what they are doing, I am sure they do!
... I just hate not knowing for certain 100% without a doubt what I have. At this point there is a small amount of doubt....

I have eclipses with very little eclipse eye just like that and ones with very little white on the nose and legs just like this guy so I would not be surprised if he is eclipse.

I wouldnt consider that a radar. If it wasnt het for radar you could test breed it and see if it proves out but since it is het radar you know you are going produce them from him.

I bought a "Tangerine Tremper" from JMG a few years ago and I was looking at her and saw she had a sliver of snake eye (like your Radar). I bred her to a Snow RAPTOR and she gave me a 2 solid eyed RAPTOR.

So just sayin'... I wouldn't disregard the eyes until you test breed.

I was just happy that JMG doesn't pay attention to detail all the time and I got a real nice RAPTOR for plain-Jane Tremper price

I would not say radar but I do like it very cool eyes good luck proving it out

You should try and prove it out, and if its not eclipse, maybe even cross offspring and see what happens. You never know! Very cool eyes.
