So my 9 yr old girl walks home from school. She walks in the house today screaming and crying holding her wrist. These little dogs chased her and she fell. It looks like she broke her wrist. My wife is with her now at the ER. Well I waited till the douche bag gets home and I go over there. After I told him what happened he has the balls to tell me that the dogs are harmless! Really you lowlife scumbag! There not harmless when they chase kids home! Animal control said they will be here at 7 am. NEVER had this problem with my reptiles!!

Man I'm glad I'm not in your shoes right now, I would be in jail. Actually now that I think of it I'm glad I have a son and not a daughter because I would be over protective of a daughter. I feel for you man! I hope everything works out and your daughter is alright.

Did she end up with a broken wrist? If so, I'm sorry, it really sucks to have that happen- I broke both of my wrists at her age.

If she didn't, then I'm really glad for her and you! Make sure she doesn't let it get stiff- try moving the fingers around at least so the muscles still work! :)

I'm hoping for a "NO BREAK" reply! :)

I smell a lawsuit and just for your ownpiece of mind here is a link to california's consolidated dog law: http://www.animallaw.info/statutes/stuscacalfoodagcode30501_31683.htm

I find being educated of the law will greatly pay off in the end if you do decide to pursue legal avenues. And an FYI, the majority of bites (if you look at the national bite statistics) are actually from SMALL DOGS. so no dog is harmless and he should have had them contained. So sorry y'all are going thru this. If there is ever a next time where your daughter is confronted by dogs she doesn't know tell her to be a tree, don't move, put her book bag in between herself and the dogs and slowly back away, don't run (triggers prey drive and they WILL chase), and don't scream (also triggers prey drive). I give a yearly assembly at our local grade schools in May during National Bite prevention week. If there is anything I can do to help since dogs are my speciality don't hesitate to ask.

Ugh, Brandon...what a mess. Hopefully things will look more positive soon. On another note...make sure your daughter sees an orthopedic surgeon to evaluate and guide you all through the healing process...growth plate injuries, etc. are what I would be concerned about. I hope the neighbor with the dogs steps up and takes responsibility!
