Hi guys, sorry to bother you but I have a question. I was wondering if anyone can recommend a next reptile for me to get ( no snakes )? I already have 2 leos and I have taken care of them for atleast a year. I was thinking of a bts, bearded dragon or a mali uro. What do you guys think? Also I wasn't really sure of where to put these questions so if anyone can tell me that would be great. Thank you
Alex

Those 3 choices are great for a begginer. I have both the BTS and Bearded Dragon. They both have their own personalities and are easy to take care of. As for the Mali Uro I don't know much about them so I really can't help there. But if your looking to get one that you will see basically daily go with a Bearded Dragon or Mali Uro. As for the BTS I only see mine every few days because he's always buried in the substrate.
Hope this Helps!!

Go with the bearded. Though I don't own one personally (yet!) they are my all time favorite species of lizard. Can't get better than watching the adult male at my LPS (like when he's munching down a large hissing cockroach). Plus, who doesn't love their face and personality?

Thanks guy I have seen nigerian uro's at my LPS but I'm wondering if they are any harder than mali uro's. Also probably right now I'm going to go with the beardies however I also want to ask about the Pink Tongued Skink. Tey look pretty cool :).
Thanks

Remember that all of the lizards you're considering require a pretty large cage, so make sure you have room for it.

+1 These are all medium to large lizard who will need space. I wouldn't keep any of them in any thing smaller than a 40 gallon tank.

Pink Tongued Skinks are very similar in care to blue tongues. They are somewhat of a specialist feeder though, eating snails as the base diet in the wild. Some can be switched to commercial diets, some don't.

As a second lizard species, I'd consider crested geckos, gargoyle geckos, blue tongued skinks, mali (or nigerian, they're very similar in care) uromastyx, or the ever-so-popular bearded dragon. There are some slightly less common species that are hardy and make good second animals as well, like Sudan Plated Lizards and Sneider's Skinks.

Thank you everyone for now I think I'll go slow and get a beardie first and see how it goes and then I'll gradually move on to something more unique. As for all of your advice thank you it will help me a lot.

I wouldn't recommed a Tegu or Monitor to a begginer because of their size. Many people are unable to provide sufficient room for an adult.
But an Ackie Monitor would be fine.

There are so many good choices that I'm torn between them. So I know I'm repetitive and I'm sorry. But now if you would recommend one new lizard to me what would it be. Last question Sorry and Thanks

I would like it to be relatively docile although it mostly depends on the personality of the reptile themselves. Hopefully Under 25 inches. I don't mind about cage size.
