Hi Kyle-

A 75 gallon tank is fine, in fact, you could keep a trio of ackies in a 75 gallon since they stay pretty small. Any other questions just let me know, I raised a trio from babies to adulthood.

I would never keep a monitor in an all glass aquarium... As far as the space goes Kelli is 100% correct... You can easily house a trio in a cage the same size as a 75 gallon AGA...

The thing that is not good about aquarium type caging is that the heat and valuable humidity goes right out the top... I have seen huge differences in my animals since I moved them into the custom built cages I made... Females ovulated within one week of being in the cage and they grew VERY fast... AGAs are great for fish, not reptiles...

You should offer them atleast a foot and a half of substrate to dig burrows in... A good substrate is a play sand and potting soil mix... 20% sand 80% soil... Top the mix off with oak leaves... You should also offer a humid hide/nest box... Also, some small wood planks, cork bark and other hides should be offered as well...

The cage should maintain an ambient air temp of atleast 82 degrees and the basking area should be between 100 and 120 degrees...
