Maybe he has a radar to find what the animals is het for what, lol.

Shhhh....I'm not telling anyone about my genetic radar! :) I had some good luck (but dumb luck) with putting the right pairs together. All the females I bred to bell albinos (snow bell and bell sunglow) were het bell, and the one I bred to a RAPTOR was het for Tremper. This is the female that I bred to the RAPTOR.

I bred her to the male RAPTOR because she was the most colorful. But if I compare her to the others I have, and all the ones that Kelli was selling earlier this year she looks a lot different. The ones that proved out het bell have a hypo look to them, but she looks different, so that suggests this female was from a different project. I couldn't have figured that out before, but it makes sense now that I know a little more about her genetics.

Steve I know what you mean but the animal in my collection that ended up being het Tremper was just that normal hypo looking you were talking about, I do not think we can recognize hets by the look of the normal enigmas, these things are so unpredictable, is awesome working with them. I do understand your logic in what you did and worked out great for you, ;)
Anyway I am kind of happy I hatched a het raptor that is not albino because I like to hatch enigma raptors but as well with the same male some enigma eclipse, those should be super cool as well. Anyway, here is the baby, yes, only about 1 week old, incubated for male 100% het raptor, I am very excited to see what this little one will look like in a few months. Also I cannot wait to breed Funky to all my patternless stripe project females.
