Red large christmas bulb?

Will it work with my leopard gecko will they be able to see the light? I just want to use it until I can get a real one ordered.

you dont need a buld at all..

The reason I want the bulb is so I can see it at night.

true but they dont like light at all, id just wait untill you can get a vewing bulb.

But it actually does produce red light from it... actually less than a viewer bulb does but idk maybe Im misunderstanding you but heres a link of the size and exact look alike.

That wouldn't work, it still produces white light just through a red filter. The red bulbs most people use produce infared light which the geckos can not see.

Ok yea I get what you saying Im pretty sure that was what Tommy13b meant... Well I went and picked up a natural moonlight bulb basically becauseit produces less heat than the red. It looks pretty cool to. Doesnt seem to bother him either.

Yeah the blue bulbs work pretty well, they are supposed to resemble natural moonlight.
