The only thing that sux is that they are siblings,
so you'd have to get another equally smokin hot Red Stripe or Emerine to breed to those, so as not to dull them out.

First, who said they are siblings lol?

Reptiles and inbreeding, NOT as big a deal as people make it out to be.

Inbreeding will not dull them out. We actually need inbreeding.

And last... I am planning on buying a few more unrelated red stripes next year to add to my group :p

Thanks Bryan and Nigel!

This is true, but for only the 1st few generations, then is always best to throw in another of unrelated "fresh" genes, lol... As after about 3 or 4 generations, deformaties and other such things may occur... not saying this is always, but it CAN happen.

I agree. But u didn't understand what i meant. What i meant was that any Red Stripe of lesser quality of colors and appearance of the stripe and all that will dull it out... You'd have to get an equally awesome looking one (or better) to be able to match the quality that one will put out. Now you get what i'm saying...? I meant it like it will suck trying to find another like that, so that you keep that one's awesome genes going...Capiche? lol

I think if you saw these two in person you would see why they are a match made in heaven. I would like to see a green gecko with red stripes and with these two you can see how this is possible. :)

Chris, it's a commonly known fact that some of the nicest animals come from animals that are not the nicest a pair produced. The genetics is just as important as the looks.

Tou Che'! I'll give you that one... this is very true.

However, isn't that the point behind "selective breeding"..?? Picking the nicest looking ones to be bred together, so as to only keep the look, and make it stronger and better...???

Correct you are. My reply was so newbies understand that genetics is just as important as looks if you want to make top quality animals.
