Remember "Mocha"? My Pet Store pick-up? Well...

...She's not quite "Mocha" anymore, lol...

This is what she used to look like when I got her...

I originally picked her up because of how dark she was... Well, she didn't stay that way... was prolly just the poor temps they had in the cage she was in at the pet store.

This is "Mocha" now... one crazy bright yellow/orange SHTCTB, with a rediculous carrot tail (it's a shame it is regenerated... was like that at the pet store)...

...How's that for totally opposite of what I was hoping for and wanted! lol!

Any given rate, I had her tested by my reptile vet for worms, parasites, etc after I got her, like I originally said I would in the post I made when I 1st brought her home, and she is 100% clean and healthy!

Even tho she didn't turn out how I was hoping, she is still quite the nice SHTCTB, and and I'm very happy to have her!

Awe, she is cute! Alot of the geckos in the petstores around here are dark, and I think you're exactly right-poor temps. =\ sorry she didn't turn out how you hoped!

Big difference. Stress and bad husbandry will do that. She still looks great though

I think she looks better than what you had hoped for Why would you want an earth-tone gecko??? I think that's boring. The brighter the color, the better--for me, at least

I think she looks better now aswell, and can't complain either way... As far as why I wanted an earth toned gecko, i was hoping she might be a good little starter for a dark project, and because not everyone has real dark geckos! I like them because they are different than everything else you see!
