A leash for a leopard gecko is not a good idea. They will be restrained against their will and become stressed, very stressed, and injured as a result. Many juvenile to adult bearded dragons tolerate a harness fairly well, as well as some other larger lizards. A blue tongue skink can get themselves out of one quickly.

Yes, a harness isn't a good idea for leos. They don't like to be restrained and can easily injure themselves and/or drop their tails when put into a situation that causes them unnessesary stress.

Best leash for a Leo would be an invisible one. The kind that can only be purchased and used in your imagination. It would be completely transparent, invisible to both sight and touch. It would weigh absolutely nothing as well. Fortunately, the don't cost anything at all. Though if you really wanted a nice one I could definitely create one in my mind to sell you. PayPal is accepted, let me know.

How exactly do you know he "don't mind" You asked him? Waste of time and a cause of unnecessary stress

How do you know they DO mind it? and it does stress them out?
i have a gecko i guarantee i could put one on him and he would be completely indifferent.
if his gecko lets it be put on and it freak out whats the problem..

a harness in my opinion is completely unnecessary. but to each there own

That's the piont, why bother when it's just to satisfy the owners needs, possibly jeopardising the leos health and well-being in the process. Not exactly taking it for a stroll il the park lol
But like you said "each to their own " personally I wouldn't :)

Why bother owning one at all.. or handling one or breeding or living.. there are risks in everything we do.. some negatives out way the positives..

IMO will it hurt or cause a stress more than just hadling.. probably not.. in MOST cases.. but again.. its not really necessary..

i can see situations where a harness might be very helpful. like, say you were doing a presentation at school and wanted to make sure that if your gecko did the 'leap of death' that it wouldn't hit the ground. or outdoors where the animal might flee for a shrubbery with great haste.
