Well as of yesterday my season ended.. this is super early for my season to end so i want to compare some results and methods over the past year, and maybe someone can see a problem of what I did this year.

08' 07'

Eggs: 104 186 ( I focused on snakes)

hatchlings: 52 164

Bred females: 21 19

Now keep in mind i couldve bred a lot more geckos this year but I decided not to stress out the females if the eggs are going to fail.

08' I cooled my geckos, in 07' I didnt that is one thing I have done difrently.
The calcium supplements are the same, they are rep-cal with d3, and without, and herptive.

Other then that nothing difrently.

Do you think it could have been the cooling period? I doubt it was but I really don't know right now and I am starting to get very pissed off this season was a complete waste. Just un needed stress for females.

Thanks for any helpful input.

I think your results may have something to do with a general sense you can see in the forum of people having more problems and more deformities than other years. A number of people say they are using the same supplementation, pairings and everything else but have had worse results.

I am in the group of people who have had a later start, more deformities and fewer fertile eggs from proven females. In spite of that, it's looking as if I'll have more hatchlings than last year Last year I had a huge number of eggs go bad in the middle of the season for unknown reasons. I have hatched 24 so far (last year I had hatched 25 by the first week in July) but I have 18 good eggs in the incubator and at least 2 more in the geckos.
