Retile carpet ripping toes off?

People keep telling me that reptile carpet is garbage because it rips the leos' toes off. I've had mine on it since I got her a week ago and no ripped toes yet. Has this ever happened to any of your geckos?

I had my first leo on carpet for a while, using tile now though.
only switched because of the carpet starts to stink pretty quickly but no toes ripped off! i have heard of it tho but i dont think its such a common thing ;)

I've never even heard of that, but I can see how it can happen. I keep mine on paper towels though, to me that is the best.:main_yes:

I have had my leos on reptile carpet all their lives. Their ages range from four months to nine months old. :) I'v had no problems... I like reptile carpet.

Hi

I have just switched to carpet and havent had any proplem with toes. One thing i have noticed is they get there teeth stuck in it when going for crickets, so i have turned the carpet over and it's abit smoother, they have been great! :)

my vet told me NOT to use it.. their toes can get stuck AND if they poop on the carpet, the carpet will hold bacteria until you scrub the carpet.
