How does everyone here clean and maintain their roach bins?

I find it time consuming picking up all the babies out of the piles of roach poop.

I have started trying a 2 tub method for my roaches. I keep them in 1 tub until I need to clean it out. I then move the egg creates over to the second tub and keep putting new egg creates in the first tub until all or almost all of the roaches are on the creates.

There has to be an easier way doesn't there?

Try using a sifter that is big enough for the poop to get through but small enough not to let even the smallest roach through. :D

I have 2 of the cheap $1 containers. One of the tubs has the bottom cut out and is glued to one of the lids. The glued lid has drilled holes in it and then is put onto the other container without the cut bottom. I pour the roaches and poop in the top tub and let the small roaches and poop fall down through the holes. I then sift the small roaches to separate the poop from the roaches. Wipe and clean out the tub and put the adults back in. Hope this helps you out!

i do use a 2 tub method but instead of waiting for them to continue to climb on the new egg flats i brush all the frass to one side of the tub then put down oranges or apple slices and the babies will come out of the frass to feed and i just take them out from there. can always lure a dubia out with food. :main_thumbsup:

I actually vacuum out my roach bin to clean it. I try REALLY REALLY hard not to suck up any tiny babies...I scoot them out of the way before I vacuum near them.
