Nice! :] But is this sam eof in pics or different?
have you looked into using that spray paint that gives the same texture and such (i do not know its toxicity) but it might be a way to bring down costs.
using clay isnt as easy as most people think. It takes time softening it up enough to use properly. You have to work it in your hands to warm it for a while, makes ya hands sort of sore. Then you have to make sure its thick enough or else as it dries it will break and crack. I paint it then and use a clear sealant. The paint I use is so thick that it doesnt need too many coats.so red clay ( the air drying one) and non toxic paint? any sealer??? i've made fake rocks outta styrafoam and that was a more in depth process with grouting, then sealing with so many coats. then painting with so many coats.
For the small ones I make them in a tube shape, with holes here and there. For making those I do use toilet paper inner roll for the starter shape, and for the medium ones I use a bowl. Lastly for the large ones I use a foam mold I made myself. However thats just to help me get started. After that I do a lot of shapeing and everything on my own..ahhh ok.. do u put it over any bowl? plastic?glass?
do you use mod-podge sealant?? thats what i used for my stryafoam projects...
and i totally like that gray paint with the granite rocks as well...
Yepwell they definately look great! and u said that grey paint with the flecks is called -Duncan?
sweeeet. ok last question when you put it over the bowl, do u wet the bowl first? or do u just put it over it and when its almost hard do u take it off to let it completely dry? what im sayin how does it come off the bowl without sticking?
cool do u have pictures of what they look like in ur tank(s)?
oh u dont use 3 hides? one cool, one warm, and one moist? can u upload a pic of them in tubs? im new to this whole thing and wanna see what housing looks like if u dont mind
thats it??? and thats all u need? u dont use ur rock cave as the moist hide? i sent u a private message. ur leo climbs into the moist hide from the top?
