Nice! :] But is this sam eof in pics or different?

they are never the exact same. Since I dont have a mold or anything Im making them out of. But they are basicly a round cave like hide. with an opening in one side. I can do different things with them for you. All I need is an example of what you want or a good description.

have you looked into using that spray paint that gives the same texture and such (i do not know its toxicity) but it might be a way to bring down costs.

I haven't but I can probably guess that it is toxic. Almost every arousal spray you will find is toxic in one form or another. I don't even use air freshener sprays in my house cause I fear it will kill some of my pets.

so red clay ( the air drying one) and non toxic paint? any sealer??? i've made fake rocks outta styrafoam and that was a more in depth process with grouting, then sealing with so many coats. then painting with so many coats.

using clay isnt as easy as most people think. It takes time softening it up enough to use properly. You have to work it in your hands to warm it for a while, makes ya hands sort of sore. Then you have to make sure its thick enough or else as it dries it will break and crack. I paint it then and use a clear sealant. The paint I use is so thick that it doesnt need too many coats.

For the small ones I make them in a tube shape, with holes here and there. For making those I do use toilet paper inner roll for the starter shape, and for the medium ones I use a bowl. Lastly for the large ones I use a foam mold I made myself. However thats just to help me get started. After that I do a lot of shapeing and everything on my own..

I use a thin flexible bowl and plastic wrap.

=) this is a quick snap shot of one of my adult geckos tank. The flowerdy thing is the water dish, then there is calcium/vit mix in with the meal worms in the lid looking thing. The moist hide and the regular hide. The spot that has nothing on it in the top right side is where the heat tape goes under the container. I dont put anything there cause in these containers they really get warm and I dont want to over heat the geckos.

thats it??? and thats all u need? u dont use ur rock cave as the moist hide? i sent u a private message. ur leo climbs into the moist hide from the top?

Yep this is all it takes. And yes she does climb up there. You would be amazed how well of climbers they are. hehe. With it being cut into the top it prevents her from digging any peat moss out of the hide and making her cage messy and overly moist. When they dig out the peat moss onto the paper towels it wets the paper towels and makes the humidity raise in the container.
