I have a nicew carrot tail female I got a few weeks past. She was in a large plastic bin and she went commando over the wall and escaped the second day I had her. Shes in a basement so I wasn't tooo worried about her I've had a few get out and they show up in a few days usually. This time thought I had no signs of her and was starting to get worried. I did a major cleaning today and was vacuuming up some cobwebs off the floor. I heard a clunk from a small tube I use for testing my fish tank water. I shut down the vac and opened it to find the gecko sitting at the bottom with a what the hell is going on look. I took her out all toes and bits are accounted for. Sh'e alittle thin bit otherwise shes great. I have NO idea how she got there I was watching the end of the hose the entire time I was cleaning and I know I didn't get her that way. Its almost a 12 inch climb on plastic to get in the vac so who knows. Shes back in a new higher walled tank ate @ 12 crickets and 5 mealies plus drank alot of water so I think shes on the way to gettin better and ready to growup finally.....When I found her I though of an old Sat. Nite Live bit with the Bass-O-Matic! I had a gecko in a vac....Just made me laugh after I saw she was ok.

Around.
If you've had a lot of geckos escape... not being mean at all maybe you should change your housing system.. I'm glad you found her though! Hopefully she is happy to be back.

Actually had a bad rack system and the juvies were able to scale the walls as they grew up...Plus my sons goofy beardies that think they're anoles..They jump right out of their 40 gals....

Just making a suggestion, but maybe you should get a better rack system so one day you don't loose a gecko that you really liked. You could also put a lid on the beardies' tanks so they don't get out, if you don't have one. Glad that you found her:)
