thanks donna!

the male garg has some great orange spots/striping; his name is Dingus
the other is a Leachie hybrid. i'm not rally so big on hybrids tho, as deVosjolie reminds us in his book on rhachodactylus, our beloved leopard geckos are mostly a mish-mash of subspecies thrown together willy-nilly over the decades.

the leachie's name is Karma.
;)

don't b hatin sam!!!!
:p :p :p
i'll share pics!

leachies crosses are not hybrids...all leachies are leachies, their local crosses.

mine is R. leachianus henkeli x R. leachianus leachianus you can call it an intergrade or a hybrid if you like; in the book Rhacodactylus the complete guide to their selection and care, they are described as hybrids not just locale-specific crosses.

if you have an issue with the description, you might contact deVosjoli via email. he's a very nice guy and quite knowledgable about the rhacs!
:)

thanks for your reply!

I have the same book. It's outdated on this topic. Aaron Bauer did a DNA report on rhacs and found that they are not different... Their the same gecko. Even found that a ouple of the rhac geckos are not rhacs, think it's chahouas.

sweet, then i don't have to feel so badly about keeping a hybrid.
is the bauer data published anywhere online?

taxonomy has always been very fluid... the names are always changing as new relationships are discovered or methods of research become available. thanks for the heads up!
