Saving Private Skinny....

I had to buy him tonight from a pet store as he was so sad looking. I realize by doing so I further empower them to keep their Geckos in this kinda shape but I had to do it. He was in a cage with about 8 or so other hatchling Leos but they were larger and obviously whuppin' up on this guy. He also has a nice scrape on top of his head. Anyway hope to show some extremely different pics of him in the coming weeks.

Awwwww poor leo . I feel so sick when i think of the care that place is obviously giving their leos . I wish u the best of luck with the little guy and maybe it will become a future breeder

Somtimes ya gotta do what ya gotta do, some neosporin, tlc and mealworms...maybe some meds from the vet, and he will be as good as new

What a sad situation for a beautiful creature

Oh man that makes my heart ache. I think the humane society should make regular visits to pet stores so they can pay for there stupidity, Its sad alot of pet stores Either don't know or hire people who dont have a clue about what the animals they have require for care, I always see pet stores with 8+ leos in little 5 gallon drawers with there tails missing, and one time the guy told me it was a normal thing all leos do I almost killed him, I said to him? how would you feel if you had to fight for every crcket you got or you'd go hungry, he did'nt know what to say. I swear I wish I could start a gecko and other animal police and shut these places down, Its just cruel. We have Health inspectors, why not pet store inspectors, Its just not right and very disheartning, It ticks me off. If a parent kept there kids that way theyed go to jail but these people can just get a way with it and better yet live with themselves. Thank you for getting him out of that situation your a saint. I hope he does well, at least he's got a chance now. Probably would've got infection and died there so now he will get the care he needs. We need more people like you in this world, Thank you,
