I just found out that both of my leos are males. Whoop. Well, they are beat up pretty badly, Blaze having exposed bone on his tail (don't know why he didn't just drop it), and Topaz a mouth infection. Vet visits are possible, but unlikely. All I have now to seperate them is a tupperware lid going down the tank. Would this work? P.S. I'm trying to get a new 10 gal for Topaz, but I don't know. And now they're in a 20 gal

Whoops? You should have done your homework and learned to sex them early or not brought home two geckos. Two males will never get along. Another cage is a must. A Tupperware lid sounds like it might provide a VERY temporary fix if it prevents the geckos from getting a one another but once they see each other there is a very strong possibility they will try to break through the barrier and get at each other. It's not in their nature to let other males survive close to them. You need to secure the lid in place and make sure there are not gaps big enough for them to squeeze through if you don't want a dead gecko (or two). They also each need a heat gradient on their side so consider how you're going to provide this in half of a 20 gallon tank.

You may want to think about looking for a new home for both geckos. You seem to be posting about an extraordinary amount of health issues and cannot provide the vet treatment and/or living conditions they need.

Vet visits are possible but not likely? You should be in jail

I'm getting a 10 gal. And, When I said that, it means my dad (only parent who cares about m geckos) is going away.

Just like you were getting a 20 gallon in July to seperate them??? I think you need to find someone in your area that can take care of them properly because obviously you cant. Why do you even post these questions??? You sure haven't used any advice given to you in the past several months. I hope you did not get that corn snake you talked about..
That would be the worst thing that could happen to that snake.

I try not to criticize on these types of forums since people come here for advice, but overall you seem pretty flippant about the care of your leos. These issues are avoidable and you're getting the same advice now that you received months ago.

Regardless of what's already happened, the geckos do need help now.
Dividing the tank: go to the hardware store and get a piece of plexiglass cut to fit so it can be used as a divider. That means you'll have to measure the inside dimensions of the tank
Heating: Move your UTH so half of it is on either side of the divider so each gecko gets some heat
Tank: this won't be necessary if you can get a 10 gallon soon
Infection: You're going to have to take the gecko to the vet. A reptile vet is preferable, but a non-reptile vet may be able to treat a mouth infection

I know it's hard to be a kid with limited funds and dependent on parents (who often don't care about the gecko) to provide transportation. Think carefully about the advice you've been given on here and see if you can get a parent or other adult to help you out with getting the equipment and the vet. If that's not possible, either put the geckos up for adoption or contact your local herp society who may be able to take them.

Good Luck,

Aliza
