Setting the Mood?

I would like to start breeding my leos next month. Is there anything I need to do to prepare them? With ball pythons I know that you need to drop temps and slow feeding to get them to breed and that they need to lock up several times to ensure fertilization. Is there anything special I should do for my leos?
The ones I plan to breed have been up to weight for a couple of months now (over 50 grams).
Also, I plan to place the males in with the females. How long should I leave them in there and should they or will they mate more than one time? I am so excited to breed them, I just want to make sure it is successful!

I would suggest watching your females weights, and learn how to follicle grade them. My colony generally ovulates in late november, but every leo can be different(esp. on you location) There is no great way to get them to breed when you want, unless you choose to lower temps/food and then gradually increase them, but i do not practice this.
Basically they will generally start ovualting january-june time period.
I would leave your males in for a couple weeks then give the females (and him a break). Dont worry it will come in due time and you will have a blast.

DISCLAIMER- Every breeder has a slightly different method of breeding, so this is not to say everyone uses this method.

So when I can feel or see the eggs beginning to form, I should put a male in?
I want to breed one male with about five females, so should I leave him with one for a while and then allow him time alone or can I put him directly into another female tub? Everyone is housed individually so he is going to have to move around a lot and I don't want to stress him out. Thanks for the info so far!

For me if the females are housed individually i place the female with the male, but when the genetics of a group are the same i place the male with the group(since i know every eggs will have the same outcome). Follicle grading can be tricky but easy when you get a handle on it. If your gecko is held with the belly facing you, right under the liver on the left size and on the lower right of your gecko (spots differ minorly) You will see red dots when they are ovulating. Eventually you will see a white dot in the middle of the red (will look like a target) then it is realy time for you to breed them. Hope this helps.
