She "sprayed" me...

Alright, i've been a little neurotic lately so please excuse me. So today I have the day off and just a little while ago, I decided to do the daily "rounds" and tidy up all the cages...I walked over to my very, very gravid female enigmas cage and it looks like a tornado went through it. I picked her up and put her in the little cardboard box I always use and cleaned her cage. When I went to get her out, I must have startled her because a massive stream of clear liquid came shooting out at me and missed my face by thismuch! After I put her down and cleaned up, I began to think...I hope that wasn't one of the eggs that just busted open...I think Aliza and maybe one other person had this happen to them with a tragic ending. And if it wasn't, WTH WAS that?What do you guys think? What should I watch for?

Please don't tell me to talk to my vet unless you honestly think I have a true emergency. It'll just make my head spin around even more.

I have a couple that will pee on me, but that sounds like a lot more than they ever produce. I don't have any experience with gravid females, sorry.

I was trying to type something but it got twist turned upside down. That happened to me today too, and my friend and I weren't sure what is was of. She was gravid, although she laid the last clutch, gosh I don't know how long ago but I don't think she has any eggs in them.

One of the eggs I can clearly see, bright as day, as it was before...but the other one I don't see clearly...although she is a plump little girl, so it's possible it's just hiding...regardless, it's nerve-wrecking.

Well, you could always take her in for an xray to see if both eggs are still there.

You got peed on. Most likely if the female is gravid, there isn't much room in her abdomen. At leat you know your gecko is wee hydrated!

Yup, you scared the pee out of her! She missed your face but she scared you at least as much as you scared her so mission accomplished on her end I suppose. LOL I'm sure you'll get some healthy eggs from her soon.
