Wow, I guess I missed the last update. Glad to hear she's still with you and happy! Hopefully things continue in that direction.

Thanks so much Mel
She is sound asleep "our bed" right now

I know that it is just a waiting game but I sure am grateful for every day that she is able to share life with me without being in pain that takes away from her quality of life

I love to see her run back into the house after she has "done her business" even if she runs mostly on three legs

I am having serious anxiety attacks this week-I am still waiting on my vets office to open back up after the flooding

I did manage to catch him there and talk with him and I told him that my dogs are almost out of their meds
He assured me that he should be up and running by the end of this week but i am still nervous

My dogs need these meds to live and I pray that he remembers that
Cross your fingers that all goes well and that I get their meds this weekend

Just thought that i would add that I saw a vet in time to get their meds
refilled and we switched them to a less expensive drug that has so far seemed to have equal positive results with keeping their pain under control

:main_thumbsup:

I was so grateful for her help that I brought a dozen roses in for her when I picked up the meds-it was right before Valentines Day

She has since refilled their pain meds for a whole month-we wanted to try the new medicine so I only got a weeks with to start with

Thanks so much for listening/reading

Thanks Mel-So far-they are doing GREAT on the Mobic for pain and inflammation

They occasionally need a Tramadol at night but that is when there is a storm coming in more often than not I need extra pain meds too
I have a house full of old and decrepid dogs/people-lol

I was just watching Sheba laying out in the sun in the backyard and I was thinking that it sure was a good thing that I followed my get and did not have her put down a year ago as the vet suggested

Knock on wood-she still has an extremely high quality of life

Gezz-I really love that dog..........:main_yes:

This has got to be my fav pic of her-lol and NO-she is NOT spoiled at all

I fell in love with her when she was brought to me at 4 months old

I wish that I had pics of her from back then but I don't think that i even had a digital back then

Wow, that's amazing that she is doing so well! Pretty rare for osteosarcoma patients. Must be all that spoilin' and lovin' she's enjoying that's doing the trick! ;) I'm so happy for you and her, and glad that BOTH of you didn't give up.

Alicia-I know or rather I suspected that this might be rare with her problem
Part of me (intellect) wants to know what is going on with her -but the larger(emotional) part of me says just accept the time with her as a gift from God and leave it be

As long as she continues to have a good quality of life-I am just trying to not even think about it at all

She is still running in the backyard and using all 4 legs and I get the goofiest big smile on my face when she comes running to me

Maybe I am being an ostrich with my "not thinking about it" attitude but it works for me right now

Thanks for all of your support and well wishes from both Sheba and Me

:main_thumbsup:

PS-Sheba doesn't think that she is spoiled-lol
:main_rolleyes:

Of course she doesn't think she is spoiled... how can you spoil a queen? lol. :)

I wouldn't mess with a good thing either! She seems happy and isn't struggling to live a normal life at all. Actually, if you tried to figure out what was happening inside, the stress might actually hurt her... so just keep treasuring your time together. She may be around for a lot longer yet, especially if she's kicked it so far! :)

Thanks again so much for your support and for everyone else's support too

It really helps to hear that I have made the right decision and I agree that further testing would only stress her and possibly due more harm than good

I pray that you are right and that she is here with me for quite a while longer

She gives me so much joy and happiness
and yes-She is quite the Queen-lol
