I have heard of people using shelf liner (adhesive on one side) as a substrate for geckos in rack systems. I think it sounds convenient beacuse it would wipe clean, and I wouldnt worry about worms getting under te paper towels. Anyone used this, have any advise, or criticism? Thanks.

Hmmm, personaly, I dont think I would want something like that stuck to the bottom of my terrarium since it would be constantly exposed to 92F temps.
It just seems like in time, it would be a mess, and would be hard to get off.

On the other hand, I'm thinking of using something like that to cover the inside walls (except the front) to get rid of annoying and confusing (to my leos that is) reflections. Of course, it would have to be easy to clean, like a kind of plastic contact film with a dull finish.

The stuff I want to use is like contact paper, it will alow traction and be like a one sided adhesive with the oter side laminent material... I'll just have to experiment with it.

I am using shelf liner in one of my cages the kind that has that foamy bubbly stuff on the back, anyways it raised the temperature of my UTH to 15 degrees, so I had to put paper towels underneath it to dimmer it.
