So this Leo was given to my son on Saturday by a family who didn't want her anymore. She's about a year old. I only have an analog scale but it says she's around 20g. She's tiny right? She should be at least twice that weight shouldn't she?

I've pretty much doubled her food from what her previous owner was giving her (only 24 small crickets a week) but I want to make sure I'm right and she needs to put on some weight.

She doesn't look too bad you know. I mean iv seen much worse.
Shes still got a bit of fat on the tail, it is partly regrown but she seems happy enough.
Shes still got another 8months or so of growing to do but im sure you'll be able to fatten her up in no time :) just make sure shes got lots of vits with the food an you'll be fine.
hoe could they not want something so cute :3

She's a bit on the thin side. I'd deff up her crickets & give her large ones - not tiny ones.

Tail looks ok but still looks a lil under weight, tail does look like a regen!! From lookin maybe from previous shedding as dosent look too bad! Keep feeding much as you can may sound expensive but in longterm wo nt be too bad as they get older they will go every other day without food. How often is he/she shedding??

If not know if male or female looking near rear legs between legs and tail more towards tail you will notice bulges for male and on underside a line of symmetry spots.

Well I've got her on 3 mealworms a day plus 6-10 sm/md crickets a day. She eats them all within 5 minutes. Is that enough? I don't want to make her sick overfeeding. She's very sweet and has already stolen our hearts. My husband (who doesn't usually like pets at all) takes her out as soon as he comes home and goes around the house with her on his shoulder.

I've got the mealworms and crickets eating really good food, spinach, top quality dog food, apples, carrots etc., for at least 24 hours before I feed her. And then I was going to do calcium on the crickets once a week. She has always had calcium available in her cage even from her previous owner and I've seen her eat away at that so I don't believe she's deficient.

Like I said we've only had her since Saturday, and other than being small she seems perfectly healthy. I know the previous owner very well and I don't think she was underfed out of any sort of maliciousness. I think it was lack of knowledge.

Thanks for everyone's input, we are happy to have her as part of our family.
