hey everybody um i have a 10 gal tank right now but i think a 20 gallon would be better for him so he has a little more room to walk around. is it nessisarry? and how much would a tank be at like a petstore for just the tank around 20 bucks?

It really depends on the pet store you go to, and whether or not you want the sliding screen lid or just a mesh one that sits on top. The sliding ones are good idea if there are cats that would have access to where you are keeping the cage, although using the clips to "lock" the sit on top ones work well too. It will be cheaper to purchase a fish tank aquarium vs. a terrarium. :) But then again...it's always cheaper to find them at a thrift store. You'd be paying more like $10 at the most. :D LOL...aren't I a good petstore employee? I'm always recommending other places where it's cheaper^^

I've seen a 35 gallon with a crack in it for $10 but I diddn't act fast enough :(. I got a 35 g for $30 anyways later though, there are so many cheap tanks on Kijiji.

Do not buy a tank at a pet store if you want to save money.. if you have money to throw away go ahead... like others said go on CL .. my boyfriends dad actually found 3 tanks yesterday for me at a dump.. hey what do I care they are in PERFECT condition and they were free. If you need new.. I reccomend http://www.glasscages.com/

I have 2 40 gallons from them, and they are by far the cheapest new tanks I have seen.

I think thats a great deal! I would definatly upgrade some people say 10 gallons is fine.. but I personnally find that sometimes bigger might be better.. I have only one in a 40 gallon and she personally likes it.. some.. don't go out as much..

If they don't like it you can put in more stuff.. I like that idea better.

it not a nessisity but im sure your leo would appreciate it, you should usually try to give your pets as big of a cage as possible with some exceptions, meijer i no sells tanks for pretty cheap, if you are going to buy from a specialty petshop you should probably go for ******** or ***** because they are usually cheaper then small petshops
