Sign of MDB?

Just got this little guy from a reptile expo and thought I looked him over well. But it looks like he has MDB. In the pics you can see his elbow and leg joints aren't square like my other leos. They look more rounded. He is eating well. Im feeding small mealies w/ calcium dusting. Should I also dust with calium/D3?

Just want someone to confirm this looks like MDB. Thx

Yes...that is classic MBD. What's your plan for this little guy? Do you have any calcium gluconate? If not, try & find a reptile vet who can prescribe it for you...also, make sure your insects are not only dusted, but properly gut loaded with cricket feed for 24-48 hours. He's really pretty, good luck with him!

Or maybe you might want to contact the breeder and see what they say about the situation if you have a way of getting in touch with them...

Thx for the reply.
No I don't have any calcium gluconate unfortunately.
With proper treatment will his leg go back to normal or does it just stop further bone problems?

I have seen leos get better, but it takes time.
The calcium gluconate will help drasticly. I would suggest getting some from a vet. ^^

I think over time he will be able to get better. He seems happy

Haven't been able to get my hands on calcium gluconate yet.
But I ordered phoenix worms and plan to feed them to him for quite a while. Along with keeping a small bottle cap of calcium in his enclosure he should do good. He eats really well and moves good. Only seems to be front legs, his back look normal. If he does get worse I'll go to the vet.
Thx all

I think that if you catch MBD early enough the effects are reversible. Just keep up with the phoenix worms and have plenty of calcium available.

MBD is never entirely reversible but as long as he gets enough calcium you should be able to stop the effects and he'll be fine. I can't believe the vendor sold him like that without saying anything...:main_no: I'm sure he'll have a much better life with you!

Yeah I cant believe the vendor at the reptile show said nothing....also cant believe I didn't see it at first either till I got him home. I would have still bought him but would've bargain the price down more : )
