Skin tone and shedding questions

1. How often do they shed?
2. Is it normal for their skin to be a little darker if they've been in a shelter for a while? Mine seems to get duller after being in dark places for a while, only to brighten up after a few minutes out of the dark

Depending on growth speed, size and other things I don't really understand, they shed every few weeks to months

Some geckos more than others seem to react with color change either after being on a dark surface or in a cool place. I don't know if being in a hide in the dark necessarily darkens them, since they usually spend so much of their time in the hide.

Some of my geckos get darker just before they get whiter for their shed. It's how I can tell that a shed is on the horizon.

he just shed 10 days ago, and since he's a juvie, he could be getting ready for another, is it too soon?

My gecko's colours get a little duller too after being in the dark for a while. After a few minutes in the light, he becomes brighter.
