I need to scan the other pictures I have into the computer if I can find them. This is the only digital pic I have of my Skinny Pig, Henry. He's the one eating out of the bowl with the scratches on him. He was the last one at the store and his leg had gotten stuck in a cage and broken but he was the sweetest Guinea Pig I've ever met. I bred him for a while but birthing is really difficult for sows and it became too heartbreaking. Skinny is a recessive gene and the het babies are born with curly hair. They look like little poodles! LOL

Yes, they're Hairless Guinea Pigs. There are 2 varieties, Skinny and Baldwin. Skinnies only have hair on their heads and feet and Baldwins are born with hair then all of it falls out. Oddly, the Skinny and Balwin genes are incompatible and if I remember correctly Baldwin x Baldwin is lethal. Hairless Guinea pigs were originally genetically engineered for medical testing.

And only the one eating from the bowl was mine. I need to find all of my pics! Don't you hate when you move and then you can't find things...3 years later? LOL

i have had dozens of guinea pigs but a lot of my friends became attached to a certain one and then they went home with them (all of them are horribly spoiled and well cared for) im down to my last piggy, chewbacca (chewy for short). she was my 2nd guinea pig and ive had her for about 4 years. the first, sir henry munchsnockers, went to live with my cousin lol but all of my babies remember their mommy

We went to the pet store for dog food today and Keith had to drag me away from the Guinea Pigs. Their little faces are just so fun to watch! I wonder if Henry is a common name for them? It's a funny coincidence that we each had a Henry. LOL
