Hi all,
I'll start by saying that I'm a new owner and I apologise if this may be a silly question, but... I've had my new leo for 5 days now and she seems to be settling in very well. I have noticed though that for the last few days she has chosen to sleep in more exposed areas of her home, not so much under the hides and logs. She still likes to hide, but sometimes she leaves half her body out in the open. I'm taking this as a good sign; that she is settling in well and is very relaxed. Also, she splays all of her legs sort of outwards and directionally backwards and curls her toes upwards (so that the palms of her feet at facing up). I'm just wondering, is normal? It could be that she is simply sooooo relaxed that she doesn’t care about curling up so much anymore. Also, I have thought that she does this behaviour sometimes in order to absorb the heat from the heatmat better. Any thoughts?
