pros and cons, why do you like one more that the other, are you being biased?

Think it definitely depends on your preferences and just saying 'snakes' is quite vague. Not sure what you're looking for

I would go with leo, but I depends on what kind of "snake" & what you like better, they are both fairly easy to take care of.

ive had a kingsnake and i have a leopard gecko, and i have to say that i prefer the leopard gecko more. But thats my prefrance. Some people may like other things, but their both very easy to take care of.

I definitely think that leopard geckos have a lot more personality than snakes do, I had a friend who owned a large snake (Boa, I think?) And man, that thing just sat there like a log. It wasn't even fun watching him, but who knows, I'm sure there are a lot of fun and interesting snakes out there. I just like leopard geckos better. :p

Lol, that's funny. I like your reasoning! :D

Tough decision, I really like my leo's...but I also absolutely adore most of my snakes as well, especially my blood python. I think her personality rivals that of some of my gecko's. Although, the leo's are less of a workload when it comes to maintenence...with significantly smaller poop! How about they're about equal in my eyes? :)

I definitely enjoy watching our geckos chase and eat their food, but when I take them out to hold them they usually just sit there. When I take a snake out it's always looking around, always interested. There is a difference in "presence" between snakes and geckos. I'm not implying that geckos are less intelligent or anything, more that they can be less active in exploring their environment. My geckos will taste my hands. My snakes will taste the air all around them. And there is a big difference between holding a fifty pound boa and a fifty ounce gecko.

Definitely a Gecko for me. I personally can not handle snakes, at all. Anytime I'm near a snake I feel like at any second it's gonna bite my whole face. They just seem very umpredictable, but I'm sure for an experienced snake person they know these signs. With a gecko I know if it bites me, it's not gonna be all that bad. I've had common ground lizards bite me harder then a gecko. Plus geckos are so darn cute, even when they are massacuring helpless bugs.

I love both a lot, but I think I would have to go with snakes if I had to choose. Though it is fun to watch the little leos hunt with their little flicking tails, it is also exciting to feed our snakes. We only feed frozen/thawed, cause honestly I don't have the heart to do live, and there is always that little rush of adrenaline when a snake suddenly snatches that rat from the tongs!! I also think snakes do have a lot of personality. I see them roaming their tubs frequently and they sometimes settle in these funny positions.
As far as bites go... I have been bit by 3 leos and 1 ball python and the leo bites hurt WAY more than the ball python.

Leos. I'm kinda biased as I've never owned a snake before though. I would have personal issues with handling mice in order to feed my snake. Other than that, I do like snakes though.

i have owned reptiles my entire life. litterally. im 25 years old, and with that experiance any of my friends will tell you that if it came down to it and i had to get rid of my animals, nothing could make me give up my snakes. my snakes are my babies. i HIGHLY EXTREAMLY DISSAGREE with anyone who said snakes dont have a personallity. i envite you to my house, my snakes move around and search their cages more then my loepards do.

asking the question snakes or leos is too wide of a question on the other hand. a better question would be....
ball python or leopard gecko. i honestly dont like ball pythons and would choose a leopard over a ball, but thats about it. i thinkyou need to narrow down what kind of snake you are thinking of.
