Not trying to steal the sale Jason, but my choice would be one of Alberto's Hyglos or sunglows :)

If I was you I would get a nice Tremper Sunglow (if you don't already have one) and breed your SnowGlow Male to the Sunglow Female, you stand the chance for 50% of your hatchlings being SnowGlows.

P.S. Jason has some nice Sunglows as well.

Oh yeah, thanks for reminding me that Jason had recommended crossing back to a Sunglow. I think I saw a really nice one on sale on kingsnake, but I'll definitely check out what Jason has. I also got one of my first leos from him last year, a tang tremper jungle albino who has hatched out some beautiful babies.

I thought of crossing the Snow Glow with something crazy like a Bold Stripe Mack, but apparently it would take a bunch of generations to get that pattern bred into them, as the hypo gene is somewhat dominant. Who knows, I may still try that, but for sure I'm going to try coming up with a Snow Glow that has a more faded look to it (hint). :wink3: No telling how that will turn out though, so I had better get that Sunglow.

So that's A&M Geckos? It looks like their best ones are sold, but there is one pretty nice female available. They've got some smokin' SHTCT though.

Would a mack snow het albino X Sunglow produce snowglows? Or do you need to go mack snow X sunglow then cross to a sunglow again ??

Thanks

Adam

Either way would work IMO, as they are just Mack Hypo Snow Albinos w/ Tangerine influence. Pretty much everyone bred Macks to SHTangerine, so it seems only natural for them to get more yellow, and orange over time. You could get pretty much the same thing breeding Hypo Snows(het Albino) to Tangerine Albinos, or pretty much any combination of those genes. Breed two Het Albino Hypo Snows together, you could very easily get the same thing. The Tangerine influence just comes out more in each generation.;)

Now just to explain myself, Jason, Jeremy,(anyone else). I hatched what was pretty close to a "cremesicle"(not the fully Tangerine one) in my first year breeding a normal Mack Snow to SHTangerineCTB`s. I think they are going to get "better"(more colorful) no matter what you do, though for me Tangerine color on a Mack Snow or MSA, is undesirable. I like the Hypo version tho`:)

To each their own, but when I see a higher price, AND new name for an existing morph that has progressed, it is only for marketing purposes. Not a bad thing, but... Make something entirely NEW and give it a new name, I will applaud you, otherwise I am sorry, but I will not.

I mean I fully expect for some of my Mack Snow Albinos, to have some Tangerine influence also. Since again, pretty much everyone outcrossed their Macks to Tangerine Albinos, it is going to happen. I do not intend to charge more for them or anything.

OK I have been contacted by a "friend" to let me know that the above post upset them. That was not my intention, and I want everybody to know what I meant. For whatever reason the party is concerned that I am implying, it is wrong to have a higher price AND a new name for a morph. Or that "marketing" is wrong in some way. That was not what I meant, I just simply do not agree with renaming existing morphs. Sorry for any confusion.

Regardless of your opinion on naming or pricing, I just got a Snow Glow and it's freaking killer looking. And I'm not looking to make enemies here, so that's all I have to say on the matter at this time. If I wanna argue I'll hit up a nice friendly pro audio forum or something. I like the name "Dreaded Yellow Snow", as long as you don't eat them. That holdback is one killer looking albino!

I believe it's a Frank Zappa reference. "Watch out where the huskies go, and don't you eat that yellow snow".

My Snow Glow has the most gorgeous colored light purple lavender band behind his head. These are really nice.
