You should get a snack before your workout. Something small that doesn't feel you up and not weigh you down when you workout. If you have to much in your stomach alot of energy and blood flow is used to digest. Which can be difficult when working out. Makes you feel tired. Then eat a good healthy breakfast always with some protein. Breakfast is really your most important meal cause it will help boost your metabolic rate and get you going along with exersize. Buying weights is a personal prefernce since usually they lay around or get used intermittantly. You can always find deals on them on craigslist and ebay. In a store your usally looking at a US dollar a pound. I prefer a gym myself. It sounds like your on the right track to me :)

Sounds like a plan then. I'll give that a try and see if my metabolism will correct itself. I just hope my meds will allow that. I got my thyroid checked today, but I won't get the results back until later this month. With any luck, I'll have an overactive thyroid or something and then they'll HAVE to take me off the Seroquel! Mwahahaa!

Cut back on salt, sugar, bread, red meat and soda

Drink 32 ounces of water a day and eat smaller meals. Chew gum when you get hungry and you can go a bit longer without eating

Sorry if that sounds too "consultant-ish" haha. My aunt is a weight loss consultant for Jenny Craig so she tells me everything I need to know

Good luck with a new medication. I have a very close friend who suffers from depression and I know how hard it is. Good luck :)

i was told by a teacher of mine not to that because while it fools your body into thinking that its going to eat it also starts up the digestive enzymes (?) in your stomach and since nothing is actually going down they'll just eat away at the lining of your stomach... hmmmmmmmmmmmmm... I'm really curious now, lol.

I probably should drink more water as I don't really drink much of anything. I have a cup of tea or two during the day, maybe a cup of milk in my cereal, some juice, and the rest is water. I do not drink soda on a regular basis. Infact, I've gone so long without sugar before that it has altered my taste; I can't drink more than half a can usually because it's just too sweet. I've been told by my doctor that I don't eat ENOUGH salt. I have had problems with low blood pressure. I get dizzy and light headed. The only two things I could probably stand to cut back on are starches and red meat. I don't even really like red meat outside of the occasional steak. I much prefer poultry or fish, but living with in-laws that are of Danish decent doesn't really help. I usually eat three times a day. Although lunch is usually just a snack or sandwich.

I've explained my usual eating habits to my doctor and they don't understand why I gained the weight other than it being the meds. :\

And that's okay. I don't mind bluntness. :p And thank you for the advice. :)
