some new carpets

we ppicked up an adult pair of carpets. i believe them to be pure jungles but i am waiting to hear from the owner, who had to relinquish them to a friend, due to a move. he guy got them from someone else and he had them four years so he thinks they are between 5-7 years old (they could be older of course)

Well I don't hate them... but I'm not a big fan. I have to admit the big ones scare me... Like that one!

I'll hold the little ones, but I'm not touching that one.

Have you been to that 'snake farm' in SA? They have the HUGE ones (sorry I don't know snake names) I was standing right next to it (didn't know) and the owner said would you want to hold him?

Without a verified history it is always a "they look like..." for carpets because the subspecies and subspecific crosses cannot be as easily distinguished by scale counts as some other snakes with multiple subspecies...

... but from just that quick visual, I'd also say jungle. If not pure, then pretty heavily. An educated guess of course, but it certainly looks like a jungle based on pattern and color. Although it'd be a pretty good sized one for a male if Russ (is that Russ?) is of average height. The darker smudging along the spine is also slightly suspect but only a little bit, it is common enough in jungles. No traces of brown or red though and mostly pretty crisp lines distinguishing the edges of the black bands... which are all jungle indicators.

they look quite jungle (that is russ he is 6'3) the male is a tellow while the female is a more gold "she" is about a foot shorter than the "male"
