Got bored last night and went on a picture taking spree....

My dog didn't think this was nearly as cute or funny as i did lol. And don't worry, she wouldn't hurt them & I was right there making sure nothing went wrong.

That's so funny, your dog looks like "whaaa??" in the first and scared in the second.
I'm about to sound really ignorant: I had no idea tokays were so BIG (and that they could look so scary!). I love the 'mad eye' effect in the first pic of the tokay.

lol I love your dog's expressions! He's like "WTF?" and then "I don't know what's going on! I'm scared!"

And wow. Tokay's are weird looking! That first pic makes him look crazy. lol Beautiful colors though. And I didn't know you could get them tame enough to hold. For some reason it seems like most geckos with lamaelle (think that's what it's called) don't seem to be very tame.

On a side note, the tokay reminded me of something that I learned about my work place. We have wild tokays living in the aquarium section to help keep the roach and cricket population down. I've never seen them, but apparently they were released into the store a few years ago because the roach infestation got really bad. I'd love to see one but it's probably going to be after switching on a light and finding one gigantic monster staring at me from a wall or something.

Hehehe, yeah....she was really confused when I put the Leo on her. She kept trying to get up & i had to keep telling her to chill out. She's very curious about them, still doesn't seem to know what to think. Last night I was holding one and she wouldn't get away so i put it up to her and said "Give it kisses" and she licked one in the face....i cracked up seeing that, wish i could have gotten a pic.

Yeah Tokays are enormous for a Gecko, mine are full grown adults too so ur talking monsters. I wanna say they're the 2nd largest gecko in the world but i could be wrong. Put it this way, my female Tokay is at least twice the size of my largest leo if not more. I guess i could try and get pics of them next to each other tonite for comparision....hmm, project! Oh and as for tame, the vast majority i've seen are little demons, barking and biting everything. Out of my pair, the male is a little butthead (last pic, hence the huge open mouth) and always tries to bite me and does quite often, i always leave with blood all over my hands lol. The female on the other hand is rather tame, she has her moments where she'll bark a little and open her mouth but rarely ever tries to bite. She's always been pretty mello since the day i got'em & i would guess they're wild-caught. I got them in July, kinda hoping they would breed but so far i haven't seen any sort of activity to make me think that it's been happening. Tho, they are rly secretive....i almost never see them out during the day, especially the male who will retreat to the hide if i get w/in 10 feet of the cage lol. Thanks the nice comments :)

Lol, your dogs face is priceless. My dog acts the same way when I try to place Ares or Kiya on him. He actually tapped one of them on the head trying to get away once. LOL! (No geckos were hurt in the story of this post)

That is seriously scary to me, it qualifies as creepy. Tokays kinda look like, if they had higher thoughts, those thougts would run, "If only I were the size of a dimetrodon, Oh Yes, we would see who the supreme species really is..." I think it's awesome that they can be handled and stuff, I don't think I'm that talented. Kudos to Jason. They have this almost Felix the Cat sorta look about them...

lol You're telling me! I'm pretty sure the banana geckos at work are plotting a simultaneous escape!

And, I can totally see the Felix the Cat thing. It's the eyes! XD
