Yeah, our cat's Cookie and Meowth (the trouble maker) used to pee on a rug in the living room... It was close to the cat box and they peed on it but we didn't know until my mom picked it up and there were stains all over the bottom of it. Ewwww...

They don't do it anymore. The rug was right next to the litter box and they would track litter onto it and their sent, so they assumed I guess that it was an extension of the litter box...

But yes, we have been more than patient with them.

Ewwww

Our only guess as to why this one particular cat urinates everywhere is because he is too sensitive.. If we don't give him what he considers "enough love" or "enough food," etc., then he goes and urinates on whatever he can find.. If there are any of our clothes anywhere on the floor or anything, he will specifically urinate on them.. If he can't find any personal belongings to urinate all over, he tries to urinate on our bed!! He's a little stinker..

The technical reasoning for this is supposedly that he is feeling insecure about his place in our home, and so he is putting "his scent" everywhere to make himself feel more comfortable... since he is neutered, I can only assume that he is urinating instead of spraying because he can no longer spray

We would never get rid of any of our cats unless put under severe circumstances.. 5 out of 6 were rescues and we don't have the heart to let any of them go for any reason otherwise

You know, he may try to be dominating over you and the other people in the house.... Don't know what would fix that but it could be that is what's going on?

One thing that I have used to keep cats out of gecko enclosures is bungee cords. They can go around a tank on a shelf to keep the cats from pulling it over and could also go over the top to keep the top on.

Yeah, I think that's what is going on..like he's insecure about his place and so he is trying to dominate..? The thing is, we also have his brother, and his brother is the alpha-male! So that could be a part of it too, maybe

I hope you find your RAPTOR Mallorie! Cats can sure be a pain sometimes! I have a fat cat too, but she is a sweetheart, though sometimes when she is let into the bedroom where the geckos are she will try to get them, but I think it's quite difficult, as they are in tanks for now.

Keep us updated!

AHH! David, that's a nightmare. lol. That would have totally freaked me out! I'm glad that we have lots of stuff for her to hide behind and things like that so I'm not really worried about her. I think she's under the china cabinet. That's where they all have been and I usually find a poo next to it within a day or so. I leave it alone and put a hide next to where I find the poo because they will usually go back to that spot to deficate.

So, let's all keep our fingers crossed that I find her soon! She's breeding size too and should be ovulating within the next few months.

well hey this is a common problem. I have 2 cats that love to get at a gecko. Actually twice. I came home from work to see Akina throwing a gecko up in the air with her mouth, and then catching it as it ran..was horrible. So I tried to "cat proof" the tubs. Went to a reptile show a few saturdays later, came home and same cat was in WAR with my biggest giant. Also my favorite gecko.
Niether gecko was seriouslly harmed the giant had some scratches but the cat had some bites lol. I have since made all the bottom shelves on my racks have lids on the tubs. This is annoying at feeding time, but it keeps the geckos safe.
Good luck at finding your RAPTOR
