I got it, thanks for the email. It's really frustrating when spammers are able to get through. I have to manually approve all accounts but now most of them sign up with @gmail addresses so it's really hard to tell if they are legit or not. I always check the ip's too, and it used to be that all the spammer ip addresses were from overseas, now the ip's are from overseas AND the U.S. I'm just really frustrated with this problem. Sorry if they get through sometimes.

Hey everyone,

When you see a spam post please report it (the little orange triangle under the avatar and user info). When you use that button it sends an email to all of the mods. We try to catch 'em all but sometimes we're not as fast as Kelli was this time! LOL

On the other board I mod there is an approval system. Anyone with 15 posts or less that post a pic or a link a mod has to approve the thread and each post. The post count also doesn't go up if they keep posting their post counts go up with only their threads that are approved. That might be a good thing for you to try. I think this is Vbulletin right?

You can't stop all spam, it's just an annoying reality of the web. The spammers get smarter as we learn their ways and some just slip through the cracks.

I think this site does a great job at keeping it to a minimum and quickly gone, so BRAVO to Kelli, Marcia, Debbie, Mel, the rest of the Mod and the members who care enough to report spam.
