Special Needs

I got a special needs gecko and she definitely could use some fattening up. I only have had her one day. I am not putting any crickets with her yet because i am afraid they will harass her. I have given her a nice big bowl of mealies with a couple wax worms to encourage her to eat. Is there anything else I can do to help her gain a little weight. Her tail isn't skinny it's actually nice and fat but the rest of her looks so frail. Her original owner said she might have a calcium deficiency so I have powdered all her food and given her a tiny bowl of calcium powder.

I guess to sum it up I am just looking for suggestions and helping her build a bit.

Here is a picture of her

(she is obviously camera shy and I have a hard time photographing her without disturbing her)

edit;
Oh I am not necessarly saying anything is WRONG with her. I am saying her legs are a little funny and she is kind of tiny ^^ I was just wondering what everyone thought, and to see what extra I can do to make sure she is happy and comfy.

Oh and a side thought she has her own tank now just because she seems to get bullied about a bit ^^

She has a lot of hanging skin. She doesn't react much to my touch. I just hope she will perk up a bit if not as long as she is healthy it's fine.

Also if anyone knows of a vet in Michigan that does herps let me know.

I think she looks well fed and healthy for the most part. I do see an abnormal bend in her legs... she may have the onset of MBD.

I agree that you should give her several days to adjust, and PLENTY of calcium.

Where in Michigan are you? My vet treats herps and is very competent in this area. The hospital director has a degree in Zoology and has a leo of her own. I am not apprehensive about them treating my reptiles one bit (including surgical procedures ;)). They are great. :D They are in Traverse City, though, don't know how far away you are.

Traverse city is pretty far. I live in the Auburn Hills/Lake Orion area.

Even though I have only had her a few days she seems unusually lethargic compared to the others. She also hasn't had a solid waste. I haven't caught her eating, but a few mealies are gone so I can only guess she ate them.
