I bought a box of crickets yesterday and there are some spiders in the box with the crickets, my question is.. why is there spiders in the box??? can they be poison??? I asked the women who sold them to me and she didnt know either. I really worried, i dont want to give my gecko the crickets just in case they have been injected by the spiders :anxious:

I would go back and ask the store for a refund and get better crickets.

If it was me, I'd take them back, or throw them away ... but that's just 'cause I have a massive phobia of spiders, and I wouldn't be able to go anywhere near it

Yeah, I bought a little "box" of crickets one time with a creepy looking spider in it... I promptly BROUGHT IT BACK because...well... I HATE SPIDERS... and I went to another pet store where they have to hand count thier crickets when they put them into the bag... not the box o crickets.

I have had spiders (and geckos lol, no joke) in boxes of crickets. And I just take them out. Only thing that I have seen change is, my lizards wear red and blue suits, and shoot silk out there nose...

Well, I mean, geckos can eat spiders as well. They'd probably enjoy the change of food.

However, since those aren't "feeder" spiders (as if there IS such a thing) you don't know what they've been eating..and yeah, probably the best idea is to just take them back to the store and get some more crickets instead.

No kidding? That's pretty fantastic! Seems like that's the solution to the lack of sticky-feet lol

Haha! But on a serious note just take them out, and make sure not to feed them the spiders (I doubt they would hurt but never know). If you don’t like spiders just take the crickets back.
