Split breeder tank?

I was thinking about taking my 45 gallon breeder tank and putting a divider of some sort in the middle to split it into two 'tanks'. The two sections would be roughly 23 gals a piece...how should I create a heat gradient for each side? I was thinking about putting a UTH on each end of the tank and the middle would be the cool side for both sections. (did that make sense?) Would this work? And if so, what size UTHs should I use? Any other ideas?

Thanks in advance for any advice or ideas. :D

Id say put the UTH in in the middle on the divider...put their warm hides there so they have the rest of the cage to roam or cool down...

Much better idea than mine, thanks! What size UTH do you think I should use?

You could also get heat cable and run it the length of the whole tank, about halfway out. Then, instead of having your 2 tanks with the hot side on the right and left, you'd have 2 tanks with hot side in the back and cool side in the front. With the heat cable, you could change the configuration whenever you want.
