Everyone deals with stress differently, what do you to relieve your stress? Do and of you guys have weird (or out of the ordinary) stress relievers?

Just trying to find better ways to deal with my stress. Sit ups worked for a minute- a short minute. Occasionally drinking a little- relax I'm of age ;-) Today my stress reliever seems to call for getting piercings. So, yea... I'm just curious what you guys do?

We try to keep our lives pretty stress free but I have a bad habit obsessing over something to buy or what getting the next tattoo started if I'm not in the middle of one if I'm really stressed out. For some reason sushi has magical calming properties with me. The down side is that if I don't eat at my favorite sushi place at least once a week I get grumpy. LOL

Try green tea. That works pretty well for me and it tastes good. Just be ready for bed, because it works fast when hot.

In warmer weather running is my cure all. Asthma prevents outdoor running now through spring though.

Loud music works well :) and driving.

Cycling...like road bikes.

It's really expensive to get going (You're talking at least $1000), but once you get going it's amazing. It's great exercise, really challenges your personal limits, and is just as addictive as geckos.

Other than that, swimming, playing music, or sex are all amazing stress relievers ;p

Word... That is my time to myself before and after work. I think I would be psychotic if I did not have it..

And.. If I had a really crazy stressful day.. Watching a movie and having a couple beers is a great thing. :)

Teas are wonderful for a moment to just sit down and not worry about anything for a short while. Green tea, roobos, oolong, and chai are all wonderful.

Also, holding or just watching my reptiles, listening to music, playing instruments..

A long, hot shower is usually my cure if I'm really stressed.

great thread...

I do things differently depending on the type of stress, and how stressed I am...

sometimes I listen to loud music, other times I go outside for a quick run, and on occasion I have a few drinks to calm myself.... nothin' wrong with that!

:)
