Stuck Shed Around Eye

Hey guys, my little mack snow, Pixie, has some stuck shed on her face around her right eye. I've tried soaking her in shallow warm water and dabbing the stuck shed with a moistened q-tip, but she still hasn't been able to get it off. She's rather skiddish and gets really worked up when I try to help her this way. Does anyone have any other tips (ha--puns are fun) for me to try? Thanks!

Keep soaking. Hold her gently in your hand and make a cave for her out of your hand. When she seems to be getting comfortable, spend a short time trying with a fingernail if possible to get an end of the shed up. If she squirms, let her go back into the "cave" and try again. It takes awhile but will eventually work.

I have some geckos that have a hard time getting shed off of them sometimes. What I do is line their enclosure with moist paper towels and put a ruff rock in the enclosure as well. The paper towels allow the skin to become looser, and the rock gives them something hard and rough to rub up against, so they can get it off themselves.

Advice greatly appreciated

Thanks so much for the advice, guys! I gave her another soak, this time with paper towels lining the container and a piece of plastic plant out of her tank in the bottom. I left her in for two hours, checking in on her constantly. She had gotten most of it off, and the remaining bit looked very gushy and moist, so I figured she could get it off while back in her tank. She did. :D
