In a Galaxy far, far away...
My leopard gecko shedded about three or four days ago, and so far we've gotten everything off but the skin on the tail. It's obviousely irrating her. I was wondering if there were ways that I could get it off myself. I'm confused, because I Don't want to make her drop her tail.

Vomiting: this is the third time she's vomitted this week. The vet couldn't find anything wrong or what would cause her to vomit. Same with her not eating. She said that maybe, because she had retained shed in her eye, she wouldn't be eating cause she can't see.

My little baby is going downhill and I need to save her. I'm nearly crying right now.

my male gecko had some shed in his eye also.. almost covering his whole eye. Make him look like a total bad ass..but it was bothering him and he was trying to swipe his face against any surface he could find. I used a q-tip with warm water and he's was pretty cool about it..just stand there let me wipe it off his eye. I never had a problem holding any of mine gecko by the tail and having it drop off. As long as you don't handle em too hard.. i think their shouldn't be a problem.

So your vet did a fecal exam, then?

Otherwise, how are your temps? Is the floor temp on the hot side at least 95?

+1!
You can give her a warm soak in shallow water for about 30 min. Then, holding her body, gently try to roll the skin toward the tail tip. It may need to be repeated. To avoid bad sheds in the future, you can lightly mist the enclosure sides on the warm end regularly. What is your substrate?

As far as vomiting, it could be from parasites or improper temps or ingested material in her enclosure or stress from not feeling well or bad batch of feeders. Obviously some things need to be ruled out asap.
