Suggestions on my logo?

Personally I favor the ones with the orange background, it reminds me of a nice vibrant tang gecko, and it certainly catches the eye. I find that the white on the orange makes a very nice contrast, it is a bit much on the eyes, but I feel if the image in resized down just a tad, then it won't be quite as overwhelming.

I'd like to see what the image would look like with the orange background and with font of that nice green shade used as your last background. It might make an interesting combination... or it could end up very badly:main_laugh:

I liked the one with the orange and just pupil best, BUT I personally would leave the Florida thing out, me being foreign to you I didn't know it was Florida and thought it was a gun...
Ofcourse that's personal but I like the idea very much, great work!

I love your designs! I personally prefer the orange and white, but the green looks nice as well. I just think the orange fits better with the words "hurricane geckos". I also love the idea of putting a gecko eye in the center of the storm. I'm just not sure the best way to go about that, but what you have done sure looks great!

I love it! It's soft yet eye catching. The colors match very well together, and it invokes a calm, trusting emotion (Which is a bit unexpected given that the title involves a massive deadly storm)

Personally I think that the little twist of color really pulls it all in.

These are my opinions & you know what they say about those so here it goes...

I really like your evolving design idea. I definitely like it with the pupil. I think that the lid and the Florida detract from the punch of the design. They clutter it up too much.

Orange is a more realistic color in the gecko world, but the blue & green is way more appealing to me. Orange stands out much better to the human eye though. Something to consider if you're 1 table at a big show.

I do not like the HG added to the eye. It's redundant & clutters your design.

If you wanted to get artsy, I'd try to come up with a gecko design for the hurricane symbol. 4 geckos forming the arms of the hurricane? Simplistic, bold, almost tribal lines to make them. Just a thought.

I think I like the green...but i haven't fully made my decision. while Orange may be more common in the gecko world, I wanted my logo to stand out. I see a lot of oranges, blacks, and whites... I agree with most of what you said..hence the evolution

The geckos used on the hurricane arms was something I considered, but I think tails would work better...However, I think the tails would take away from the urban style I think is currently evoked.

I am gonna work with it and see if I can make the tails look good on it! thanks for your input!

I really like your latest design! The colors are really appealing, and it looks good! I think that orange may be more "standoutish", but I also see why you would like to have something different from everyone else, that stands out for being different.

hmm...I don't really find the font all that hard to read. I like it because there is a lot of style within the actually font...helping to keep the logo basic and clean. I think one of the reasons you find it hard to read, is because the circular letters are tilted counterclockwise a bit...

As far as the reason for keeping the H and G un-capitalized...I just think it emphasizes the effects I wanted to portray...It keeps the logo balanced, and I feel it is an aspect of modern style... but making them capitalized is still an option...

I agree with bleeding sarcasm in terms of my favorite design so far. I don't see any problems with the font though. I think hat if you want to go with green, find a color that is bright. I think the color green you have on the last two banners is like a seafoam green, and appears faded, which is something I just don't like. Green is cool, but I'd suggest a bright green so that the design pops.
