Okay, so... How much are Leos supposed to weigh? I'm still pretty new to this. I volunteer at my local zoo, and we have two leopard geckos, so when Nic came to me as a foster through my rescue, I thought: "Wow, he's pretty long compared to the other two fully-grown Leos I've seen." But he was still really skinny, all stick limbs and neck.

After eating regularly with me for the last six months, he's up to 64g. I guess that's... big?

That's about average actually.... I have a male who can get up to 90 grams and not look overweight. And a female who is about 60 grams.

While they are pretty geckos, I guess I should visit that link to why they are called super gaints when they are weighing out as average geckos...

Yep, as Nevim has said, regular weight on SG are 100+, Giants 80+ but they can get much more weight, I have a male who is 109 grams and he's no giant or super giant.

I too was curious about that. Several of my normal females are pushing 70 grams at just over one year old...

From what i know the one charactoristics that make it a giant is the length. I believe the weight is just a added factor of the extra couple inches of length in the giant genes. I thought it has to be around 10-11 inches long or so to be called a giant. A giant or super giant will grow alot faster then a normal and should get about 10 inches or more at 9 or 10 months.

thank you all for your comments
the youngest gecko was born 21/10/08 - number 408
the oldest gecko shown was born 12/09/08 = number 508
so they have quite a time to go until they are a year old]

Thats a big boy.

Personally think that just proves the point that the weight alone can not define a supergiant.
All our supergiants have either been brought directly from Mr Ron Tremper or from breeding our supergiants together. We now have 3 males and 3 females,
obviously our giants are where from supergiant to normal sized geckos

The supergiant babies appear much longer than normal sized, and giants (for that matter) when born. We are looking forward to eggs from our supergiant mac and supergiant designer jungle het albino. We will be posting some updated pictures shortly.
