Today we received an incredibly beautiful Super Giant Sunglow female from our good friend Ron Tremper to pair with our amazing, world-class Super Giant Sunglow male, Ronnie. This pairing will produce perhaps the best Super Giant Sunglows in the world. Ronnie is 130 grams at 8 months of age, and our new female is 75 grams at less than 4 months of age! Both geckos are brilliant solid neon yellow with no bands or spots, and have large amounts of very bright orange carrot tail. Both are very intelligent and have super friendly, gentle temperaments. This is truly one of the most exciting developments in Designer Geckos history, and we are thrilled that we will be bringing their amazing offspring to the gecko community in 2011. Stay tuned.......we are considering a naming contest for our new girl.

Here is a pic of Ronnie...pictures do not do him justice. He is the most amazing all around gecko in our entire collection. Pictures of our new female soon.....

THAT is one amazingly colored gecko. If the female you got is half as brilliant as he is I can't wait to see the offspring.

If I hadn't seen Ronnie in person, I'd accuse you of some Photoshopping funny business! I can't wait to see those sunglows this summer.

Thanks for the comments. He is the nicest and brightest SG Sunglow I've ever seen and we're thrilled to have him. His colors are really amazing, but his massive size and super friendly and smart personality are really what make him so special. It's also unusual to see Super Giants with that level of CT.

We will keep his babies pricing as reasonable as possible. We just got his female yesterday and she is eating like crazy already. She could be close to 100g by 5 months of age. She is as bright as Ronnie and also has a lot of very bright orange CT. Of course 100% of the offspring will be Super Giant.

Hi Keith. Yeah, I think you saw him on display at the Denver reptile show. Funny thing...a rich guy with his son walked up to me there and opened up his checkbook and told me to name my price...he wanted Ronnie badly for his son. Of course he walked away a bit dejected...money can't buy everything, but especially not Ronnie.
:main_thumbsdown:

His color in person is actually a very brilliant yellow, not as orange as shown in this pic. It's very tough to capture bright yellow like that. I'm going to have a pro photographer from Boulder take some top notch pics of Ronnie and the female soon. He said to capture yellow that brilliant we may need a purple background to get opposite the color wheel. We'll see how those pics work out and then I'll repost the pair. I hope to get that done in the next few weeks.

Hi Shaun. Glad all's going well. (Love that Giant Snow.) Happy Holidays.

Thanks all for the comments. Ronnie is a one in a million gecko, and we feel a strong obligation to share him with the gecko community in his offspring. We have 3 really yellow non-Giant Sunglows we will breed him to as well, so those will produce nice regular Sunglows as well as Giants. But we are most excited about his SG pairing with this new female as all will be SG and super bright yellow with nice amounts of CT. Next year will be fun for sure.

Ronnie is so smart and aware too....I had him out tonight on the couch and he was sitting up on the back of the couch behind a pillow while I watched a rock concert of the band Yes. I saw Ronnie peeking around the pillow to watch the concert and before I knew it he was out staring at the TV in amazement and he watched and listened to the entire show. So cool. He was like a little kid seeing a rock concert for the first time. Really cool to see him so into it. Next thing I know he'll be asking me if he can take guitar lessons. I wouldn't put it past him! :guitarist:

Happy Holidays. I'll keep you all posted.
